We currently operate a tractor mounted mulcher attached to a Valtra powered via PTO, this machine will grind stumps and break up all stubborn vegetation with ease.
About Mulching
Mulching is a cost effective and sustainable way of the removal of unwanted vegetation on development sites and leaves a nice clean finish to the area.
This equipment can also be used to dispose of tree roots, these can be mulched down into the existing topsoil without the costly surcharges that are often involved with tree roots.
Sustainability
Mulching has the potential to improve soil structure, when material is incorporated into the topsoil horizons. The addition of organic material into the topsoil improves moisture and nutrient retention, as well as improving the water holding capacity of the soil and rates of water uptake. Keeping material on site also removes transport impact of moving arisings to a green waste facility and the onward transport to the end user.
